Spell to Communicate RX

The goal of Spell to Communicate RX is:

The goal of Spelling to Communicate (S2C) is to help nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking individuals develop motor skills that enable them to point to letters to spell words and communicate their thoughts, ideas, and knowledge.

S2C teaches purposeful motor control through a hierarchy of skill-building, guiding individuals from pointing to choices, to spelling single words, and ultimately to spelling full, independent communication.

The broader goal of S2C is to presume competence—to recognize that every person has the capacity for learning and communication—and to provide access to language and education by teaching the motor, cognitive, and regulation skills needed to express themselves reliably through spelling and typing.
